Supported Bluetooth phones.2016-09-19T11:55:22+01:00

A pdf that details the tested bluetooth phone support available for mObridge Bluetooth can be found here. Unfortunately phone manufacturers all provide different levels of Bluetooth compatibility. Using Parrot technology, we aim to provide the widest range of supported phones, however there are going to be some models that will not work with our system or only provide a subset of available functionality.

If your phone is not on the list, we will try our best to get your phone working but we cannot guarantee compatibility with mObridge Bluetooth.

Do I need to remove the CDC (Compact Disc Changer) when installing mObridge Audio in a BMW?2021-07-26T13:23:01+01:00

BMW vehicles can generally keep the CDC and place the mObridge unit in front of the CD Changer on the MOST ring. However the HU will only provide functionality to one or the other in which case the mObridge bypass switch can be employed to ‘remove’ the unit from the ring. Please allow some minutes for the vehicle bus to sleep and recover from this scenario.

My PCM does not have a “Tel” button. Can I still get mObridge Bluetooth?2016-10-14T15:02:31+01:00

At this stage the answer is no. mObridge Bluetooth requires that your PCM is capable of phone control.  Only PCMs with a Tel button are currently able to do this. We are working on a solution for Porsche PCM without a Tel button.

Does mObridge Audio work with the Porsche CDR23 / CDR24?2016-08-01T13:51:33+01:00

Absolutely! mObridge Audio is fully compatible with the Porsche CDR23 and CDR24. However, because a limitation of these Porsche radios is that they do not support CD-text, so the album/song names are not displayed. It is possible to exit lockout mode on the iPod to enable browsing via the iPod.

Do I need to remove the CDC (Compact Disc Changer) when installing mObridge Audio?2016-10-14T16:11:51+01:00

The CDC must be disconnected while mObridge is connected. We do provide a simple optical fiber loopback connector that would allow you to easily “insert/remove” the CDC in the system but it is a manual operation which is always a bit of a hassle. The single CD in the radio continues to function in all cases no problem.

Do I need to remove the CDC (Compact Disc Changer) when installing mObridge Audio in an Audi?2021-07-26T13:25:02+01:00

Audi vehicles can generally keep the CDC. In the case of the color MMI systems, the HU will provide functionality to both the iPod and CDC. The low end monochrome MMI systems will require removal/bypass of the existing CDC.

How To : Update the Firmware of your mObridge2016-10-12T11:24:24+01:00

All mObridge products allow for the easy updating of the firmware. This allows you to get updates to support new iPod versions, new mobile phones, and new vehicles. To update the firmware you will need access to the SD-Card slot located on the side of the mObridge. Copy the *.fif file that carries the new mObridge firmware to the root directory of an SD-Card. The firmware will automatically update when both the vehicle and mObridge are powered on. Typically the software update process will take no longer than 30 seconds and mObridge will automatically restart with the new firmware version, but it is a good idea to leave the vehicle on for at least 10 minutes. Please ensure that mObridge remains powered during the update process. In vehicles that allow you to get CD-text, you can verify the mObridge firmware version under CD6.
